Notes

Possibly our showiest plant. All the words in the world cannot describe how breathtaking this plant is in its full glory. Peak bloom season lasts only a few weeks, but it attracts all the attention during that time.

Needs regular water and moist soil, especially in the summer. Wait for seed pods to ripen before cutting back after it is done blooming. It’s supposed to be an annual, but sometimes lasts longer.

Know the Plant Bat IRL?

One of the hardest plants to grow. The seeds are minuscule, and need high humidity to germinate. I’ve had the most success germinating them in an enclosed seed starter. Once they germinate, the seedlings can spend months being a few millimeters tall before finally deciding to grow more.

They’re well worth the effort though, and if you’d like to grow them, I can share seeds or tiny seedlings.
